On James Baldwin and Black Rage

Abstract What I aim to elucidate in this article is Baldwin's moral psychology of anger general, and black rage particular, as seen his nonfiction. I'll show that thinking significant for relevant important questions at the intersection philosophy emotions, race, social philosophy. It also has pragmatic application present-day anti-racist struggle. theoretical account Black rage, argue, (1) dignifies Blacks by centering them people with agential capacities (2) provides a politics useful fight against white supremacy racial injustice.
